In my time at Asset Planning Corporation, I have seen this quote above lived out by my coworkers. I have seen them give their time and resources to people with no anticipation of return. They are simply using the gifts they have been given to impact others’ lives.
Unfortunately, there is little if any of this type of servanthood in our world today, so their actions stood out to me when I started working. When I have asked them for help, they have not just given me the answer; instead, they have walked me through how to do a task/assignment. This teaching is long-lasting as I begin to enter this profession. I would never learn if someone gave me an answer every time.
Everyone can utilize this type of servanthood in their daily lives. All of us have been given passions and skills we can pass on to another person in need because, in the end, life is much more fulfilling when we are giving than when we receive.
